One to the side and a new beginning.

In my last post, I showed my progress on the Sweet Pea Sacque and Cap set. But I don't know if it is the pregnancy hormones or just simple frustration, but those sleeves were just getting on my nerves. So, I have decided to just put it aside for now and move on to something new from my growing future projects list.

I am now working on the Boat Neck Baby Sweater from the Baby Knits for Beginners books by Debbie Bliss. It is a really simple and cute sweater that doesn't take a lot of brain power to knit.

I have made some changes to the pattern as you can see. I have added two moss green stripes to the bottom of the sweater to add some color to the cream color yarn . I also changed the yarn type to Moda Dea's Washable Wool. It is a great yarn! I have completed the back and I hope to have the front done by tomorrow afternoon.

Progress on Sweet Pea Sacque and Cap Set.

I wanted to share the progress I have been making on the Sweet Pea Set. I still have a lot to do, but it is coming along. Here you can see how the back is completed. I am now working on the front bodice. I choose to use straight needles to do this.

Here you can see how long the little Sacque is. The baby will really look like a pea in this color. :)

The birthday boy!

After a busy week of running around trying to get everything ready for my oldest son's 5th birthday, I finally have a few pictures to post of his day. His birthday was Thursday. He is happy to be 5 and loved his birthday cake and presents. But what child doesn't like presents?

Here is a picture of him blowing out his candle, on the cake I made him, while his dad and brother watch.

And a picture later that night of the three of them playing with the Hot Wheels track he got from his dad and me. Don't they look calm, just watching a car go around and around?

The wait for a change is over!

Well, I was seating on the sofa this early afternoon and I heard something a the front door. I wasn't sure what it was, but I knew it was time for the mail man to deliver the mail. I knew it would take anywhere from 5 to 14 days for my Knit Picks Options to arrive and today made 5 long days.

When I opened my front door there was a small brown box. What is this? Just as I was about to open the box, my phone rings, it was a call I knew was coming about my youngest son. Nothing to worry about, just a check up call to see how he was doing from a friend.
I got off the phone with her, and the time had come. They were here....my Knit Pick Options needles. :) I am so happy with this purchase! I just wish they offered a cable that made 16" and 20" circulars that interchanged with the Options set. That would be great!

We Have A Date!

Well, I went to my third doctor's appointment this morning and it was a good one. I hear the baby's heart beat again and was going about 150 beats a minute, which the doctor said sounded great! I was very happy to hear that. I still am not feeling the baby move, but I can't wait!

The doctor said everything looked and sound great and that she would see me back in the office on October 18th for an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing well and to hopefully find out the sex! I can't believe how fast the pregnancy is going. In just four weeks, I will know the sex of the baby. That is a big deal!!!!!!!!!

Oh yea, I don't think I will be making the Sweet Pea Sacque and Cap set deadline, but I haven't completely given up.

A Much Needed Change.

Frustrated, excited, and waiting.

A few months ago, I purchased the Boye's Masterneedle Set from my local craft store. I got the set for half the cost, which was a deal! But these needles, SUCK, and I mean big time!!! My yarn kept getting caught on that crazy bump on the cables.

I finally had enough, and I think my husband did too. I kept complaining about how the needles where not my first choice and my husband finally just told me to take the Boye's needles back to the store, get your money back, and just get the needles you really wanted. Well, I did just that!

I just placed an order for my Knit Picks Options circular needle set. I can't wait for them to come! I have one set of their fixed circulars and I love to knit with them.

Now, I have to do the waiting game and running to the mailbox as soon as the mail person closes my mailbox door to see if they are here. Waiting for a new knitting item is never fun.

To Start A New Project or Not?

I have mentioned several times that I am not the type of person who can start another project before one is completed, but I really want to start something else. My futures project list seems to continue to grow larger.

There is jacket I really want to start for myself that I think would be great to wear as my tummy gets larger. It is the Drops Jacket and if you want to see how beautiful it is just check out the one at http://coloursknits.blogspot.com. It is the darker blue knitted piece. She is really a very talented knitter!

Sorry for the lack of Blogging.

I know I haven't been blogging much lately, but this pregnancy is kicking my butt! I am tired way more than I was with my other 2 pregnancies. I have been knitting some and I want to start a new project, but I know I need to finish the one I have started before that happens. I just can't work on more than one project at one time.

I didn't set a deadline for this project and I think that is why I am not making a lot of progress. I started the Sweet Pea Sacque and Cap on August 6th and here it is September. I have to do better! So, I am putting a deadline on this project of September 30th. This deadline includes the Sacque and the Cap. I think I can do it! Do you?
